Why I am doing a year's* (see below) worth of crazy adventures...

2022: I took a leap of faith and it changed my life. About a year ago, I took a chance and applied for my dream job, never thinking I would get it. But I did! So I packed my things and headed south to St. Petersburg, Florida and started my new life of adventure.

In the past 9 months since I have been living here, I have experienced more adventures that I have in the past 10 years. But there's still so much more to do! My 50th birthday is coming up, and it got me thinking...how about if I do one BADASS ADVENTURE for every year of my life I have lived so far? Sounded fun. So I asked my family and friends for ideas and invited people to join.

This blog will be the result of all the adventures I have in celebrating 50 wild years on the planet.

Some adventures will be significant only to me and the rest will hopefully spark a contagious excitement in others. Some will be testing my ability to do solo adventures, and others will grab people in to join me.

This blog is my virtual scrapbook. Please feel free to add comments along the way. And if you are ever looking to join in the fun, reach out! I would love to do an adventure with you.

*July 2024: Whelp...I have been adventuring now for over two years and have racked up over 100 badass adventures. And I simply can't stop because it has changed my life! Not only have I met and reconnected with so many incredible people through this experience, but I have learned something profound:

IF YOU LOOK FOR ADVENTURE, GOODNESS, AND COOL THINGS IN LIFE, THEY WILL COME YOUR WAY!

I just attended a leadership meeting where we were taught about Rosenthal's theory: Expect the good and good will happen. Expect the bad and bad will happen. Simple enough and so true. Badass has given me a new lens to see the world in, and I hope the excitement I find in my life is contagious for you! Thanks for coming along for the ride!
